Namakaran Sanskar is a traditional Hindu naming ceremony performed to officially name a newborn baby. It usually takes place on the 11th day after birth or an auspicious date.
The ceremony begins with Ganesh Puja, followed by purification rituals and a havan (fire ritual) for the baby’s well-being. The father or priest then whispers the chosen name into the baby’s ear, marking the official naming. Family members bless the child, and the event concludes with prayers and celebrations.
